We are based right in the centre of Gateshead, less than a minute's walk from the Gateshead Interchange station. In fact we are technically a part of the station building!

Orbis Community is our home, it champions collaboration between creatives and communities across multiple sites in Gateshead. Whether it’s through gallery exhibitions, providing studio space for emerging artists, or hosting workshops and events, Orbis Community is a place where ideas come to life and collaborations thrive.

On foot:

Turn left out of Gateshead station and walk down the hill towards the river, we are on the left between Iceland and Heron Foods just past the large black statue in the centre of the pavement.

It's a lovely walk over the river from Newcastle. From the Quayside you can cross the Millenium Bridge, follow South Shore Road in front of the Glass House, and turn left up Bottle Bank. Turn right to pass The Central pub and then left under the railway bridge, to come up West Street.

By public transport:

Gateshead Interchange is a short walk from our venue, and the station is served by both Metro lines with frequent services to Newcastle, the Coast, Sunderland, South Shields and Newcastle Airport. The bus station is on the top floor of the Interchange, and provides links across the North East. For timetables you can check Go North East for buses, and Nexus for the metro.
